What an evening!
On Tuesday evening, May 12, Constellations asbl held its annual performance at the Théâtre Royal des Galeries in Brussels, under the High Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Paola, for the 18th consecutive year.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were Ministers Yves Coppieters and Ahmed Laaouej, Mayors Benoît Cerexhe, Fabian Maingain, and Nicolas Van der Maren, as well as numerous elected officials, including Marie Cruysmans, Aurélie Czekalski, and Marc-Jean Ghyssels.
The hall was packed with 900 people; the play “Two Lies and a Truth” was a resounding success, laughter filled the room throughout, and the actors were superb in their roles. The auction and raffle also brought joy to many.
Thank you to everyone for your presence, your warmth, and your commitment. You made this evening a powerful, heartfelt, and deeply inspiring experience.
We leave feeling energized by an incredible sense of enthusiasm.
Last night, two checks for €300,000 were presented to two new projects: Maison Atipi in Brussels and Les Aubépines in Wallonia. Another step toward our goal: by the end of 2028, 19 homes will have been built and opened, providing nearly 600 places for people with intellectual disabilities. It’s tangible, it’s real, and it’s thanks to you.
Thank you to our long-standing partners, our new partners, and our donors, who stand with us with confidence and conviction.
A special thank you to the political and institutional leaders who work every day for a more inclusive society: the COCOF (French Community Commission), Iriscare, the AVIQ, the King Baudouin Foundation, and all aid and support organizations. Your collaboration is essential.
Our goal remains the same: a society where every person with an intellectual disability naturally finds their place, without having to fight for recognition. This movement is gaining momentum. Let’s continue to grow it together.
