19th house : Les Renivaux

Founded in 1975, Le Renivaux is a residential center located in Ottignies, in the heart of a green setting. It currently houses 25 residents, most of whom have multiple disabilities or a dual diagnosis (intellectual disability combined with a mental disorder).

The current building has become dilapidated and no longer meets the specific needs of this group. Furthermore, its limited size means that its capacity cannot be increased.

The project therefore involves:

• the construction of a new home for 16 elderly people with multiple disabilities who require a high level of care, and
• the comprehensive renovation of the existing building to accommodate primarily people with dual diagnoses, creating one additional place in the first phase of renovation and then seven further places in the second phase

The total cost of the project is estimated at €4,732,000. Significant assistance from the AViQ is expected under the new Walloon plan. 

The total cost of the project amounts to €4,800,000. We are hoping for significant funding from the authorities under the new Walloon plan.

The visit from the local mayor went very well and we can count on the support of the local council. The planning application will be submitted to the regional authorities by the end of June 2026.
