Project to extend and completely renovate the day and accommodation centres of CREB Woluwe (Children's Rehabilitation Centre in Brussels).
After the opening of CREB Anderlecht, there will be about forty children in the day centre and 27 in the accommodation centre in Woluwe. This is the second CREB project.
The CREB Woluwe welcomes children and young teenagers with severe mental and associated disabilities.
To-day’s buildings have become unfit(asbestos) and too small to meet updated norms. We need to rebuild completely or have to close. Specifically ,the ground floor needs rebuilding. A first-floor needs be added. The living surfaces will need to be increased by +/- 1 000 m² and will allow the upgrading of the rooms, the sanitary equipment … The works will be phased in time since it is impossible to close.
The project has been approved in principle by the College of Ministers of the Brussels-Capital Region. This means the project will go to the end if we find the money. Finding 600.000€ for Constellations is key because that’s the basis on which we were able to convince several Foundations to support the project.
We have never managed a project has big as this one. 45 children are concerned and 72 places at stake.
This will be the most ambitious project Constellations has ever managed. The cost is estimated at 4,500,000€. More than 120 people work in this centre. Their jobs are also at
We have financially supported this project in 2019/ 2020 and will continue to do so in 2020/21 and have already raised almost €560,000.
It is very important for us to find the total sum of €600,000, our contribution to the project because the agreement of the foundations for a total of 3.800.000€ - this includes the participation of COCOF and Constellations - is based on our own participation.
We still need to find 700.000€ with friendly foundations.
